Top Business Predictions for 2021

Michele Grazioli, CEO,

null

Nowadays Artificial Intelligence has been the center of a very strong hype, although it has never been considered fundamental, but rather a "nice accessory" intended for the few.

As a consequence of the crisis caused by the Covid-19 virus, more and more realities have become aware of the importance of technology and in particular of AI. The world found itself on its knees from one day to the next, paralyzed, and the most, unfortunately, were not able to survive.

Therefore people realized how keeping up with technology is no longer an optional, but it became an essential requirement. Indeed, it can not be meant anymore as a tool to overcome competitors, but rather a requirement for survival.

Coming back to us, the Covid-19 has allowed us to understand that technology, and specifically AI, is able to help us for example by optimizing numerous business operations, increasing profits and providing important impetus for innovation.

With this in mind, in May 2020, in the midst of a pandemic, VEDRAI was born. We are an Italian company, with an average age of 27 years, with the aim of bringing AI within everyone's reach. Our vision is to provide small-medium enterprises with a tool that supports the entrepreneur in decision-making processes, so as to optimize his time and improve business results.

It is clear that, in order to overcome the crisis, companies need to make significant investments in innovation, with the immediate implementation of strategies that lay the foundations for the company of the future. Above all, however, small and medium-sized enterprises are strongly conditioned by the climate of uncertainty and mistrust: faced with the emergency and the lack of revenues, they are prepared to make conservative choices, if not to a decisive cut in operating costs and a drastic reduction in investments. This inevitably leads to decline.

With this in mind we identified two main and much required trends to necessarily follow to remain competitive in the market in the upcoming years: the customisation of customer services and the willingness of companies to protect themselves during these unpredictable times.

Having said that, we have decided to implement our technology through specific tools to better serve our customers for the next years following the predictions mentioned above.

As regards the “clients’ services’ customization”, VEDRAI has adopted an accurate system of customization for its clients to better analyze their needs and desires.

Similarly, we have deployed our algorithms in order to enable our clients in turn to highlight possible customization configurations for their activities.

Moving on to “the need for companies to protect themselves”, VEDRAI decided to include a specific package in the services offered called “Enterprise crisis”.

Thanks to artificial intelligence, this specific solution provides the companies the chance to take the best decisions that can ensure development and growth, to introduce new organizational styles and to monitor their health at all times, as required by the new Code of Business Crisis and Insolvency. In summary, VEDRAI can help businesses to overcome uncertainty and regain the confidence to meet post-pandemic challenges.

If the pandemic has taught us anything, it is that we need to be able to cope with sudden changes in the demands, and in this context it is essential to "help" human skills, so as to be able to face the new demands and, above all, survive.

For the one who fears that in the next years robots will replace men, allow us to disprove their idea. Indeed, what is needed is an Artificial Intelligence that complements human work, not replaces it. Consequently, it’s worth pointing out that tomorrow’s managers won’t be replaced by robots, but rather by forward-thinking managers who will have implemented AI solutions in their decision-making processes.
